1 Sep 2018

On Sunday the 1st of September 2018, our Vietnamese Catholic Youth Group Braybrook held a celebration for Father’s day at the Christ the King Hall. The aim was for the children to show their love to their fathers through acts of service. We accomplished this through a market style format. There were stalls that allowed the children to make food for their fathers such as hot dogs and waffles. The children also learned to make coffee, tea and smoothies to compliment the food. Other stalls were aimed towards creating quality time between fathers and their children. This was through face painting, playing games as well as gift making. Each family also had the opportunity to take a family photo together. Our Youth Group also had the honour of having Fr Rene join us in the celebrations. He taught the children how to be thankful and to express their love to their fathers. We also celebrated Fr Rene and thanked him for his service. The children and their families really enjoyed the day and we hope to be able to run more celebrations like these in the future.
